Christmas Traditions

Photobucket

We usually go home to visit our family each year for Christmas but this year we are breaking our 5 year tradition and are staying at our house. It should be fun, but we will probably be along. Not the way I imagined spending Christmas but I can't change my mind now.

One of the other traditions that I do is I get an ornament each year for each of us for something big that happened during the year.

The Ole Miss ornament is a must!
Last year William won his first Fantasy Football league.
2 years ago I got stuck on the roof while putting up our Christmas lights and had to have the assistance of the police/fire department to come help me down.
My sweet little Jack.
Got this ornament at a family ornament exchange one year.
Our cat Rylee.
William's diploma from Ole Miss.
My ornament for last year since I started nursing school.

I have more ornaments but those are the important one's I wanted to show.

Thanksgiving

This year for Thanksgiving I spent the day with my family and William spent the day with his, first time we have done that. It turned out well, but still wish he had been with me.

Lilly sportin her cowboy boots, they were Chris's when he was a kiddo.
Now she is girly with Aunt Casey's shoes on.

Now, on the morning of Thanksgiving I left my hairspray at home so I used my mom and as usual I turned my head upside down to spray my hair and when I turned it back up this is what it looked like. I almost cried because I had spent so much time working on my hair but then I laughed and combed it out and it looked GREAT!:)

Student Nursing Convention in Little Rock

I attended the Arkansas Student Nursing Convention in Little Rock this week. Being the Vice President of our local chapter of SNA I got the pleasure of planning the whole trip. We stayed at the Double Tree Hotel and the Convention was at The Peabody Convention Center in Downtown Little Rock.

Being bored, waiting on the next session to start.
Sally & I at the luncheon.
Jennifer, Micah & Kelly at the luncheon.

Being from Memphis you would think that I had seen the ducks walk at the Peabody, but I never had. I finally got my chance!

If you look closely in the elevator you can see the ducks.
Runaway ducks....wheres my gun?
enjoying their yummy snack.
