Jack's new hair cut.

Well on Thursday I decided that I was going to try and cut Jack's hair. He needed a haircut badly and it was either $35 at Puppy Paws or $30 for my own clippers. So I took the $30 for my own clippers. I did accidently cut his skin in one place but it didn't seem to bother him too much. He has only gotten 2 haircuts before this one. I think he did very well! I have some room for improvement but none the less the clippers have now paid for theirselves and saved us some money! I have some picture below of his new haircut, I didn't take any before pictures, sorry! His belly looks a little bald because his hair is so thin!

I am going to get my hair cut on Tuesday, so I will post pictures of that and in 9 days I will be 23 and then the next day I go take my class to get CPR certified! Boy time sure is flying by.

Horses in the backyard

Just a few pictures of the horses that are behind our house. These are actually some news ones since the last pictures. These let us feed them and one of the ponies let us pet it for the first time. They are very sweet.

Lots of things going on...

This past week I went and bought all 14 of my books for my first Nursing class, Fundamentals of Nursing. It is only 1 class for the Fall Semester that is 8 credit hours. I just found out today that for the first 2 weeks we will go to school Monday-Friday from 9-3, I am already loving this because I get to sleep in until atleast 7!!!! YEAH!!! Then after the first 2 weeks of class, the new schedule will be Monday, Thursday and Friday 8-12, Tuesday 8-4:30, and Wednesday 8-6. Also, we have our orientation on August 6 and I have to get my CPR certification before August 25, which is the first day of class. I found out all of this today because I got my letter from the school in the mail today telling me all of the details.

The letter says that the school estimates that my first semester books will cost me $700, I budgeted $600, but only spent $428. Man what a deal! I bought most of my books from a student that just graduated from Nursing School. It also says that my uniform/shoes/logo patches will be $200, that's kinda expensive to me.

I am so excited!!! I have already started reading some of my books for the class, call me crazy but I am pumped!

On another note, this past Saturday William and I went to Branson for the day and went to White Water, sorry I didn't get any pictures. We had a great time, it was our first get away that didn't involve going home since last Summer about this time. We absouletly had a blast, one day we will have to go visit Silver Dollar City, I have heard it was alot of fun but the fact that I have heard it called Steal Your Dollar City makes me very leary. So for some updates on our pets...

Rylee, our cat, decided in the past week or so that she was no longer going to use her lovely Pink litter box that I searched everywhere for when I got her.

So, we ended up buying her a new litter box, it's an automatic litter box called the litter maid.

I love it, it's great since I will not have the time to clean it anymore, even though I was only cleaning it once a week before, but it makes her happy. She uses it but when it start cleaning it's self it freaks her out. We gave her some tuna for the first time last week and she loves it!!!

Over the past several months we have taught our dog Jack some tricks, pictures to follow. We could not get the dog to play with anything but his Kong, which he loves peanut butter in. But, we bought this soft frisbee from Wal-Mart and he loves it, he will actually fetch it and bring it back to you most of the times, but today for some reason he wanted to play instead of give it back.

Have you been saved?

William was asked to join a men's group at our church back in the fall. For one of his assignments he had to write out his testimony, which I read and came to figure out that I had never been saved. I grew up Church of Christ and had been baptized but soon come to learn that it was not the same. I never wanted to discuss it before with William because I knew his side and I had mine and I wasn't budging. Well, after reading his testimony and talking with one of William's J-Men leaders that Sunday, Caleb Mitchell, and got saved, January 6, 2--8!!! Then the very next Sunday I got baptized, January 13, 2008.

Have you been saved? Do you know that you are going to heaven when you die? Those were questions that I thought I knew the answers too but once I looked into more I come to find out that I had not and I feel so honored to have all of these Christian people around me that helped change my life for the better!

I always wondered why God put us here, why did we have to be so far from home, but now I truly know the answer, it was so I could become his child and come to know him in a very different way than I ever had.
