Crafty Casey

Would it be any surprise that I have been being REALLY crafty lately?

Here are quiet a few of the things that I have made for my little princess.

I made her this Tutu. Very EASY!

Here are the letters that I painted on the wall in her room.
Bow holder #1 full of bows all made by me;)
I went to a friends house one day and she taught me how to make these, isn't it so cute?
Travel wipe case for daddy's car.
Travel wipe case for mommy's car.
Travel wipe case that matches her diaper bag.
Of course I couldn't have just plain wipe cases!
The other bow holder. I made a few of these.
I think I am all done being crafty for a little while. I have a few gifts to make but other than that I think Madelyn is good on stuff made by mommy!:)

Here is a peek at the pictures.

After our photo shoot yesterday morning we headed to Fayetteville to watch the Hogs play the Commodores in some baseball. We had fun, even if it was cold and rainy!

35 weeks...

Today I went for my 35 week check up.
Madelyn looked good on the monitor, and I am still having contractions.
We have made progress though, I am 40% effaced and dilated to 1cm.

We go back on Monday, we shall see where we are then.

34 weeks, 4 days

Today's non-stress test went well. Madelyn is head down and I am not dilated yet. Although, I am learning about this swelling business. It's no fun! I am having some contractions. We go back to the Dr. again on Thursday.

We are ready for Madelyn to arrive whenever she is ready. We got her room all finished this weekend.

33 weeks and 34 week appointment

34 week checkup
Yesterday we had our 34 week check up. Everything went great. My sugar has still be quiet a bit wacky even on insulin. My Dr. is just about as surprised as I was just because I am having a harder time with controlling my morning sugar than I was when I wasn't on insulin. Starting today and going until Madelyn is born I have to go in twice a week for a non-stress test. That just means that they hook me up to a monitor and have to watch her heart rate for 20 minutes or more to make sure when she moves her heart rate is reactive and goes up instead of down. Yesterday during the NST, Madelyn was sleeping so they have this buzzer that they stick up to your belly to wake them up. She didn't like that at all, but it sure woke her up. Luckily I was almost done when they did that because she found the monitor and started kicking it. Love that little girl! Can't wait to meet her!!!

30, 31 and 32 weeks.

Since my last Dr. appointment my blood sugar has been very wacky! So, when I went to my Dr. appointment on Tuesday I got to start on Insulin at bedtime. FUN STUFF! I am very thankful for my wonderful husband who gives me these shots every night. Just because I am a nurse doesn't mean I can give myself a shot;) At my appointment I measured 32 weeks, which is right on and have lost 2 pounds since my last appointment. I go back for my next check up in 2 weeks.

Madelyn's baby shower-West Memphis

Yesterday my mom and grandma threw a baby shower for Madelyn in West Memphis.

I had alot of fun! My little car was loaded to the max on my drive back home.

Here's her sweet little animal cake.

The yummy food table!
My sweet grandma-and her dinosaur(camera)...:) I may be in trouble for this one.
One of my most favorite gifts at the shower was a little hat and blanket that my Aunt Melva made for Madelyn.

All the Dunn family women who were at the baby shower. We are one big crazy happy family:)

Madelyn baby shower-Mississippi

This past weekend I went to the first baby shower for Madelyn.

William's cousin and Aunt who live in Mississippi threw a shower for Madelyn.
I had alot of fun and got lots of cute stuff that I can't wait for Madelyn to be able to wear.

My mother in law, me and my mom. My mother in law came up from Florida for the shower and my mommy was my driver:)

All that yummy food, and I can't eat much of it...

These are marshmallow's dipped in chocolate at sprinkles.
Me and the yummy monkey cake!

27, 28, 29 weeks and 30 week Dr. appt

Since my last appointment I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes. I continue to count my limited amount of carbs to keep my sugar down so that I do not have to take insulin before this little girl is born! I have to check my sugar 4 times a day, stick with my diet and take 2-30 minute walks everyday. Tomorrow I will be 30 weeks, at my appointment today I measured 32 weeks. YIKES! I hope that means that little miss Madelyn isn't getting too big already! Nothing the Dr. wants me to be concerned with just yet, as long as I keep my sugar under control. So, I have my 32 week checkup in 2 weeks and our 3D/4D ultrasound. The Dr. also said today that we would be doing another ultrasound at 36 weeks to see how big Madelyn is. Until then, we wait!

Below are my recent belly pictures.

23, 24, 25, 26 weeks and Dr. appt...

So I am a few weeks behind!

I had a Dr. appointment on Wednesday and got to do my lovely 1 hour glucose test, which I found out today that I failed. So, on Monday I get to do the 3 hour glucose test. YUK! I pray that I don't fail!!!!! They also informed me today that not only am I still anemic but it is worse now that it was when I was 12 weeks even though I have been taking an iron supplement everyday. That makes me feel better to know why I am soooooo tired!

Below are my last few weekly pictures.
I don't feel like my belly is getting bigger, but these pictures sure tell a different story!
I have only gained 4 pounds since I have been pregnant but I am measuring a week ahead. The Dr. says it's because I have a short torso and that I am not actually early.

26 weeks on January 20, 2011.
I didn't get out of my jammies, since we got like 4 inches of snow that day.
