Happy 4th of July!

Monday when we woke up we walked down the road to Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Kellys house. I think Maddie was still tired because she only let Uncle Jimmy hold her and then I held her while she napped and we visited. It was also Uncle Jimmys birthday! Happy Birthday. I didn't get a picture because I forgot my camera at the house:(

We walked back down to Papaws because it was almost time for Maddie to eat again, after she ate she and Papaw played. I am jealous because Maddie talked and cooed with Papaw louder than I've ever heard:)

This is outfit #1 on the 4th.

Maddie spent quiet a few naps doing this...

She loves her Papaw!

On Monday afternoon we took Maddie over to a friends house to meet them. Shannon is like a brother to William and he and his wife had a little girl, Eliana in September. It was so sweet watching Eliana, she had sympathy cries when Maddie cried.

Here is Shannon and William with there mini-me's

We headed back to Papaws and Maddie napped in her car seat for a while. When she woke up I fed her, we took a family picture and had the find our 3rd outfit of the day. Good thing mommy packed extra;)

After we got our new outfit we walked down the road to introduce Maddie to momma Lillian.

Here's Papaw carrying Maddie down the road.

Maddie and Momma Lillian

Uncle Raymond and Aunt Patricia came to visit while we were at Momma Lillians.

Here's Maddie and Aunt Patricia

Maddie wasn't too happy by this point. She was hot and tired so we striped her down to her diaper and Papaw got her to sleep. We visited until she woke up then we headed home for bath time!

Laughing at Papaw while momma is running my bath water.

Stay tuned...

4th of July weekend...

We went back home for the 4th of July to introduce Madelyn to our family. We were gone for 10 days so needless to say we were exhausted by the time we got home.

The ride down went ok. No one told me about how hard car rides are! We left here at 11 and got to my moms after 5. The drive usually takes 4.5 hours. Lots of crying was done! I would have never known Maddie didn't like her car seat! We stopped in Russellville to eat lunch at feed Maddie and grabbed lunch at Whattaburger. This was our treat since we both lost 10 pounds in June! I got a milkshake that I couldn't finish! I was surprised but happy:)

This was on Friday just after we arrived at my moms. This is my nephew Fallan, he's 10 months old. He's such a sweetie! If Madelyn cried he would sympathy cry with her, it was the cutest thing! He was so sweet and would pet Maddie.

This is my Granny meeting Madelyn for the first time.

Friday night my mom watched Maddie so we could have a date night. We had a BLAST!

We started the evening off at the Apple Store getting my phone fixed. After getting a brand new phone, I was synching my phone with my computer and William surprised me with a iPad2 for my Birthday!

After that fun trip we headed to Corky's to enjoy some Yummy Memphis BBQ! After dinner we headed to play Putt Putt and I won, well after 2 do overs! But I still won:)

Saturday we just rested and hung out at my moms all day. Everyone was sleeping in except for Maddie, me and my mom. We hung out in the living room playing.

Around 11 Maddie was ready for her morning nap so I laid her down and got a shower while my mom cooked breakfast. She made bacon, sausage, eggs and crescent rolls. Yum! Everyone got up while breakfast was cooking, I guess the smell of food woke them up, ha!

My Granny and Papow came by to see Maddie and visit for a while.

We spent most of the afternoon visiting and playing! My baby brother, Jesse just finished a tour in Afghanistan and was home a leave, so we got to visit with him.

Love him dearly for all he does!

Fallen and I played while Maddie napped.

William grilled some of the best angus burgers I've ever had for dinner!

Sunday morning we got up early, got dressed and packed the car up and headed to Brinkley. My grandmother met us there and then rose with us to Tucker to visit my dad in prison. I love my Daddy lots and it was such a joy to take Madelyn to meet him.

Here they are...

Maddie with my grandma.

After we left the prison we headed to Papaw Bills house in Mississippi. When we arrived Maddie was screaming so Papaw took her and played with her while we unpacked the car and got her bed setup and I ran her bath water.

After we got Maddie to bed we had a nice homemade meal. Fried Okra, cornbread, corn on the cob, cucumbers, tomatoes, green beans and potatoes, butter beans...YUM!

Stay tuned, I will post more soon!

2 months old

Madelyn Grace
You are 2 months old today.
Doesn't seem like you have been here that long:)
You are up to 12 pounds now. We will get your official measurements at your 2 month Dr appointment.
You are wearing size 1 diaper.
You are wearing size 0-3 month clothes.
You have made your own little sleep schedule. You take a 1 hour morning nap, a 2 hour afternoon nap and a 1 hour late afternoon nap. You go to bed around 8 and sleep about 6 hours. You get up twice at night to eat and you are up for the day around 9.
You like your carseat, as long as you aren't sleepy.
You really like to be swaddled and rocked when you are ready for sleep.
Mommy loves you so much little girl. If time could just stand still because you are getting soooo big!

I heard her squeal for the first time:)

Smiling at mommy from my carseat!
I like my cool new shades Daddy bought me.

Memorial Day

Hope everyone had a wonderful Memorial Day! I greatly appreciate all that all the service men and women have done for our country!
I want to say a big thank you to my bubba who is fighting for our freedom!

We went to a cookout at some friends house from church on Monday evening.

The Monahan's grilled burgers, had backyard baseball and a giant slip-n-slide.

FUN was had!

Today I went for my 6 week OB check up. Dr. said that everything looked great with my incision and cleared me to start exercising.

When I went for my first appointment back in September I weighed 271, when I went to my last appointment before I had Maddie I weighed 260 and today I weighed 236. VERY EXCITING! Less than I have weighed in a long time! Now onto getting under 200!

Fun weekend!

We have made a very low key weekend to rest at home and spend time as a family, well FUN!:)

Today Maddie played on her Boppy with her foot and wrist rattles. She really seems to like these.

All dressed up for church this morning, then off to shop!:)
This is Maddie and I on Friday night watching Baby Einstein. She really likes these!:)

Last Thursday Ole Miss came to NWA to play the Diamond Hogs. William went to the Thursday night game so Maddie and I rooted for them from home.

Maddie in her Ole Miss gear for the game.

The Rebels won, and this is what Maddie thinks about it!

Saturday, Maddie got dressed up to go shopping at the mall with Mommy & Daddy.

We have had crazy tornado weather since last Sunday. It has been terrible! Joplin, MO was hit on Sunday night, which is just an hour north of us and then on Tuesday night Denning, AR was hit, which is a couple of hours south of us. Praise God, that we made it through without any damage.

Our church has been going up to Joplin everyday this week and taking volunteers to help out with the clean up. William went with them one day this week and it is just unreal the damage that is there, and all I got to see were pictures. I cannot even imagine what it is like in person. Joplin and Denning are in our prayers.

Today was my first Mother's Day and it was nothing less than FABULOUS!
We started the day by having Madelyn dedicated at our church, then we spent the afternoon eating lunch at Qdoba, which just opened and shopping at the local mall.
Madelyn won a gift card at church this morning for being the youngest baby, at 3 weeks old.
This evening we relaxed at home and William grilled burgers for me...YUM!!!

2 week check-up

On Monday Madelyn had her 2 week well baby check up.
She weighed in at 9 pounds 5.8 ounces. :)
The Dr. told me that I don't have to wake her up anymore to feed her, yeah! She sleeps between 4-5 hours at night.
She is such a good baby!!!
At her Dr. appt she had a blocked tear duct that looked like it was getting infected so we got some antibiotics to put in her eye 3 times a day for a week and it looks so much better now.

Here she is yesterday before going to watch Daddy play tennis. Her onesie says "Hi! I', new here."

Today is William's first day back to work since Madelyn was born. It is definitely different, and we miss him but I guess we had to get back to reality at some point:/
Our friends started bringing us dinner this week and I must just say it is so nice!:)
