1st Birthday Party

Today was Maddie's 1st Birthday Party!

I can't believe she is 1!

I only have a few pictures, but my sweet friend Katie Cole took some pictures that I will have soon, and I will post those too.

She got so many wonderful fun gifts today! She was very into this present.

After her party daddy and papaw put together her toys and we went outside to play. She loved playing in this water table.

Then she went for a slide!:)

She wasn't done, she wanted to go again.

Then she wanted to take a break and read a magazine.

Growing girl!

Jack got groomed one day last week and when we went to pick him up we grabbed him a few toys for his upcoming birthday. Maddie played with them all through the store, the car ride home and once we got home. I think Jack knew these were his because he didn't go far when she was playing with them.

I love watching Maddie grow and turn into a big girl. She will sit in her car seat or stroller with her little legs crossed. Today I caught her waving to herself with both hands and pointing to herself..haha

I think Jack is warming up to Maddie a little more. Here he is on the couch with us one morning letting Maddie pet him.

We picked up the present from Maddies great grandma today and Maddie just loves the box! She pushed this box all over the house! Hope she loves the toy as much...

Last night William played in a League tennis match.

His team won 5-0!

William played great! I am so proud of him, just a few weeks until the state tournament. His team already gets to go since they won mid-season.

She had the best time playing while Daddy warmed up, then we headed inside because it was chilly and she had a good ole time playing while we watched the match.

I switched Maddie from whole cows milk to vanilla almond milk on Monday and she absolutely loves it and will drink 3 glasses a day!:)

We went to the Saturday night church service as we have done every year since we moved here and enjoyed a relaxed morning at home on Easter.

Here is Maddies Easter Basket from Mommy and Daddy.
It included wooden block, a coloring book, a drawing pad, age appropriate colors and the bucket for outside toys.

She would hardly drink her milk for staring at it.

Sunday we were invited over to a Friends house for Easter dinner.

When we arrived my friends mom had made Maddie these little peeps, and she loves them!

We had fried chicken for lunch and then sat around and chatted while the kids played outside. Maddie loved this little truck.

Yesterday Papas arrived with another basket of goodies.

Milk

Yesterday was the last day that I nursed Maddie. Today we started whole milk. Mommy is a emotional mess! Never thought I would be so sad. I feel like she was just born!

Here she is last night after I fed her for the last time. She fell asleep, she usually doesn't. I soaked it all up and let her sleep in my lap for almost a hour before I put her in her bed.

Here is her first glass of whole milk this morning. It went ok I guess. She drank 2 1/2 glasses on milk, but very very slowly!

I had to have one of my car tires repaired today and while we were waiting Maddie was putting on a show for everyone at the shop.

She walked at least a mile all over this place. She is preferring to walk everywhere now.

Then she just wanted to drive her stroller everywhere:)

It's been a while...

This was how little miss slept in the car after her 1year smash cake pictures.

Yup, she's naked because she was all sticky.

So after she woke up we went straight to the bath tub.

Mommy forgot one thing, she had not pooped. Well the fun part of that happened in the tub. It was a big fiasco, because she pooped more on the rug and the dog ate it. It's not funny but I had to laugh.

Then she tried to escape...
