Superhero 1st birthday

We had a Superhero 1st birthday party for Will the Saturday before his birthday. The little guy is a superhero in my book after all he has been through since he was born and still has such a happy attitude.

Here are the few pictures I got at the party.

Will doesn't seem to like cake very much.

12 months

You are 1 year old today!
I think you weigh around 25 pounds.
You are wearing size 4/5 diaper.
You are wearing 12-18 month clothes.
You are wearing size 4 extra wide shoes.
You are walking everywhere and trying to run!
You have 4 teeth.
You don't talk much. You did finally say Mama!
The only food I can tell you LOVE are black olives.
You are drinking whole milk, but only if it's warm.
You have a little shyness, as you like to hide your face when someone new talks to you.
You are busy! Always on the move and into something.
You are so sweet and such a happy baby.

Wouldn't even know this little guy is sick enough to be in the hospital. After 6+ hours in the ER he was admitted for low blood oxygen levels. Daddy was a champ and stayed with the little man both nights he was in the hospital so mom could get some sleep for work. Thank goodness the pneumonia was caught when it was, because he got sick quickly after we got to the hospital. He was on every 2 hour breathing treatments for about 30 hours. I'm so thankful for both of our employers for William being able to be off work completely and for me being able to work some half days while will was in the hospital.

Playing in his hospital crib.

Friday morning donuts, mom forgot it was picture day because we were up until 3am at the ER. Good thing Maddie picked out some cute clothes!

Maddie was missing Daddy and Will while they were at the hospital so we Skyped with them before I dropped her off at school, this is a picture of her playing peek a boo with Will.

This little guy is breaking free from the hospital after 2 nights!

With Maddie at our first Gymbacks meet.

Maddie is typically afraid of all mascots. This was she liked! She volunteered to have her picture made:)

But, this one was not one she was ok with up close. She blew him and kiss but was afraid when he came over so he played peek a book with her from a distance.
