New do...

Well, so much for growing my hair out. That lasted all of 3 weeks. Maybe when it's colder it might be a little more realistic. It is the exact same hairstyle I got a while back and didn't like but this one is just a little longer, I really didn't want my neck shaved.

Here are a few windblown pics from today:

Group playing Baggo...

Our connection group met at our house on Saturday evening. We had hogie sandwiches, which were GREAT, but we almost didn't have any cheese. I guess I left the platter too close to the edge of the counter and Jack pulled all the cheese in the floor, luckily I was able to run to Harp's and buy some more cheese.

Here are a few pictures of us petting one of the horses, and feeding her strawberries and then the guys playing Baggo.

Garage Sale...

Friday and Saturday I hosted a 7 family garage sale at my house. In the 2 days the garage sale made $665, just $35 shy of $700. WOW! Last year we just made over $500 in the 2 days, but it also rained on that Saturday. We had some happy people when they come to pick up there winnings from this garage sale.

Here are some pictures pf the garage sale on Friday, we had already had 1 customer that bought quiet a bit, including some papason chairs that Katie and I found on the side of the road and thought we would sale for cheap, I can't believe it!

Memorial Day weekend to Dallas...

Friday morning we left our house at 7:30 to drop Jack off at Camp Bow Wow for his first overnight stay away from us while being borded. It was sad, but bitter sweet once we got to our hotel in Dallas and got to view him online, he was having so much fun!

I slept most of the trip Friday because I have been having lots of insomnia, not sure why, I have never had problems sleeping. So, we arrived to Texas and stopped at the Texas welcome center. I have been through Texas before, but just the panhandle when I was 15 on my way to New Mexico with my youth group on a mission trip. William went to Dallas with Wal-Mart in 2005 for a class. This was my first real experience and I was very excited.

After leaving the welcome center we proceeded to Allen, TX to the outlet mall. OH MY! They were fabulous! I had scoped them out online before leaving because I needed new Crocs for our trip to the water park on Saturday.

These are William's new Crocs that were only $5.

So, we shopped a little and went to find lunch. I have heard and seen a place in Joplin called Cheddar's and a saw a sign for one in Allen, so we went there for lunch. It was YUMMY, and cheap! After lunch we went back to the outlet mall to a few more stores and then headed for Dallas. We couldn't check into our room until 3pm, so we were trying to stall.

After checking into our hotel room, we settled in, looked at Jack online and decided to head over to the NorthPark Mall, it was less than a mile from our hotel. OMG, the first mall I have ever been to that has Valet Parking. We parked and hiked it up to the mall, it was gorgeous. I enjoyed it, we went into Tiffany & Co. and I showed William what I want for graduation, all I can say is it costs as much as my wedding ring... So after walking around the mall one time we went into Dillard's to look for some Black Mary Jane's, well I didn't find black, but I do love Pink so I got these:

for only $20, the retail on the Crocs website for $35 and that's how much they were at the Crocs outlet.

After that lovely purchase we proceeded to dinner at PF Chang's. I have been there before but William hasn't. Turns out he liked it!
After leaving the mall we went to Speed Zone, we so need one of these in NWA. They had 3 different go-cart tracks and then a dragster race straight away. LOVE IT!

William did really well, won 4 out of the 5 races he was in.

Saturday we went to Hurricane Harbor in Arlington, TX. We got to see the Baseball stadium, and the new football stadium from a distance. We didn't stay at the water park long. I had a headache from not wearing my glasses as well as I was a lobster after being there only 2 hours.

We went to our hotel and prepared to tour the city. We ate lunch at Chipotle, really good Mexican place that is all over Dallas. We went to the Sam Moon stores, OMG. They are fabulous! There is a store called June Lee's in Memphis and Sam Moon is like 10X bigger! Same kind of stuff. After that wonderful experience we headed to the Galleria, William had prewarned me that I may not like it but being a girl I still wanted to go. We did, I liked how big it was, but didn't like the fact that there were no stores for big girls. They didn't even have a Lane Bryant, I would have been happy with just that. That's ok though.

After leaving the mall we headed back to our hotel and walked about a 1/4 of a mile to the train station. We were headed downtown to see what we could find.

Being from Memphis I was looking for something remotely close to Beale St, that's a negative. I enjoyed the experience though. We are dinner at Sonny Bryan's in downtown, claimed to be the best in Dallas. It was good, just doesn't compare to Memphis style BBQ. After walking around downtown we caught the train back to Mockingbird Station by our hotel. There was a new mall that had just opened calling Mockingbird Station at the top of where we got off the train. We walked around it a bit, but it was too late and all the stores were closed.

We went back to our hotel and I swam in the heated pool for a while, while William watched some Basketball in the lobby.

Sunday we had planned on going to the Dallas Zoo, but it was suppose to rain so change of plans, we were going to go to the Aquarium but one was being remodelded and the other was quiet expensive, so, we decided to go to the Sixth Floor Museum.

We caught the train once again to downtown. I didn't mind the train at all. It was very interesting.

If you are ever in Dallas you should definitly go through the museum. I learned more in the 2 hours we were there than I think I did in any history class I ever took in school.

After catching the train back to Mockingbird staion we were on our way back to Arkansas.

Everything really is bigger in Texas.

Me on the trip home.

We had seen a Cheesecake Facotry on the way to Dallas in Allen so we had already decided that's where we were going. We missed our exit and had to look back, but it was well worth it. FABULOUS! We had never been there before. We thought about it last year for out anniversary when we were in Tulsa but decided not to.

After indugling in delicious cheesecake, we set off to our last trip to the outlet malls before we headed home. I had seen a shirt in Lane Bryant that I wanted on the way down but knew it would be there on the way back so we stopped in there. We were walking from Lane Bryant to the Crocs store and ended up buying William a suit. WOW! Unexpected. We had been planning on doing something since we have a wedding to go to in June and his 10 year reunion in July. It was really CHEAP!

So, we preceded to the Crocs store and bought me a pair or Crocs and then hit the road.

These are my new Prima flats, and I love them, they were only $5.

We got home last night around 9. It was fun and tiring!

Today was a good lazy day, we bought William some nice dress shoes to go with his new suit at Rack Room and I got everything priced for my garage sale and have been blogging since 8....wow, I got alot done!!!

This will be a busy week, I am heading up Orientation for the incoming Access nursing class(15 month program) and that is on Thursday and then my garage sale is on Friday and Saturday.

Guest Room Edition

Kelly is doing this and you can view her blog to see more.

This is our Guest room. Not much to it. We have a sleeper sofa, the few people that we have over usually sleep in the living room. I have not spent any money on this room, with the exception of the curtain because it bothers me to not have curtains. This will be baby Lewallen's room someday. So, no point in spending any extra money right now when we only have a 3 bedroom house.

This is standing at the door looking into the room. This is my baby brother's old twin size bed that my mom gave me when we moved into our 2 bedroom apartment. The picture above the bed is one of William's senior pictures from high school from May of 1999. The candle holders used to be over my couch in the living room before I found my perfect picture, they came from Kohl's. The blankets on the bed are the kitties, since this is her room.

This is standing by the close door looking towards the window. As you can see we have had to pull up some of the carpet, my little Rylee was having some potty issues which we come to find out she had a UTI, but anyways. The plates on the wall, one if from Memphis, one if from Mississippi and I would love to have an Arkansas but I don't so the other is a Disney plate that my grandmother got me for Christmas one year when I was a kid, it plays music too. The valace is from wal-mart and I bought a strand of black beads and sewed them on.

This is standing by the window looking towards the closet. The picture on the wall is of my mom and dad before they had me. The other picture says "My Father", my mom had it made at the mall a long time ago, and then a cross below. Kitty toys in the floor.

This is standing by the bed looking to the front door. Not much here, just the child gate that we use to keep the dog out for obvious reasons.

Living Room Edition

I love Magnolia's. Have loved them since I was a little girl, I was thrilled when I met a Mississippi man and got to move to Mississippi where there were lots of Magnolia trees. I don't have one at my house but my dream home will have one!

Sorry it's blurry, I had to turn the flash off or it made everything look a different color. This is looking into the living room from the kitchen. My mom bought the plant in the corner when I was a teenager and when she saw what my living room was decorated in she gave it to me because it matched so well, it's red magnolia's.

This is standing behind the recliner looking towards the front door. The rug at the front door, in the living room and at the back door all match. They are from Wal-Mart. I got some of them at the Wal-Mart sample store, but the one in the living room was recently replaced because the iron got dropped on it and burnt it.

This is a recent purchase from Wal-Mart, I had a really hard time finding a clock that wasn't solid black, any other room in my house that would have been fine, just not in the living room.

This is from standing in front of the fire place. The lamps are new, I just got them at Gordman's a few weeks ago. I don't know where the tables are from because my grandmother gave them to my mom and then I got them, I know they have been around a while because I know my grandmother had them when I was in grade school.

This is from standing behind the TV, the couch is a micro-suede sleep sofa from Furniture Row. It is very comfy! The magnolia picture is my FAVORITE! I found it at Belk for half price last spring.

This is standing in the corner where the magnolia plant is looking towards the kitchen. If you notice the 2 pillows you see in this picture, I made both of the covers for them. I think all of the pillows came from Kohl's and I just made new covers so they didn't all match, the one on the couch has beads hanginf off of it.

This is from the hall looking into the living room. The recliner was a hand me down from my aunt, it leans sideways but it very comfy! The curtains are from Wal-Mart, I bought 1 panel and split it in half so it would fit my window.

This is standing in the corner where the end table is looking towards the fire place. Almost everything decorative on my mantel came from Elite Lamp Factory/Vintage Verandah in Marion, AR(back home).

This is one of our more recent purchases, we love it! We are not game junkies as it may look, the Wii is mine along with the Wii Fit and the Playstaion 3 is William's, as his Christmas gift from 2 years ago. He knew he was getting it, I sat at the sample store for 3 hourse for the day after Thanksgiving sale and bought it for half price what it would have been in the store.

Got the sign at Hobby Lobby half price, and it is so what I need when I have those down days, usually when I am studying. I do most of my studying on the couch in the living room and this is directly across.

Show us where you live Friday...Kitchen

Kitchen Edition

I have been working on re-decoarting my kitchen. I have had a magnolia theme since we got married, since we lived in Mississippi for a few months when we first got married I was able to get quiet a few things for the kitchen. It just didn't go well with my kitchen, plus it was a little to feminine, William cooks to so I wanted the kitchen to suit us both.

This is looking to the dining room from the living room. The picture on the wall says, "All because two people fell in love." I don't just LOVE our kitchen table, but it is better than not having one so it does the job it's suppose to do for now.

This is looking towards the kitchen, from where the previous picture was taken.

This is looking into the kitchen from behind the dining room table. I went with the look of I didn't just clean my house to take pictures, it isn't always so clean but we just got back from a trip and I straightened up before we left. The cat usually isn't allowed on the counter but she kept following me around getting in my pictures so I gave up on that cause. The door at the end is to our laundry room.

This is standing infront of the laundry room door looking to the dining table. I made the red curtains last July, because I just couldn't find what I was looking for. I would like to do more to them but I just haven't figured it out yet.

This is looking into the kitchen from where the picture and garbage can are. Those are cookbooks and dog treats on the counter, I use both alot! Around the corner of the fridge on the counter is a wood chopping board, stainless steel bucket with spatulas and spoons in, as well as a cordless can opener.

Our animals are our kids!!!

So I woke up this morning to find poop confetti in the bathroom floor, bedroom floor, living room and hallway. Jack never does this kind of thing so I knew something was wrong. I quickly cleaned it up so it didn't stain and called the vet to see what I could do about it. So I went to the vet and got some medicine to make it all better. I feel like I stay at the vet's office, at least here lately in the last 6 weeks. I think I need a summer job just to pay for the dog and cats extra expenses!!! I still love them none the less!

Here are some pictures of me and Jack, none with Rylee because not only do I get clawed, she will never look at the camera, I do have one of her doing her new trick, we got a new TV for the living room in March and moved the old TV out of our bedroom in the office, it is much bigger and it is now May and she is just now figuring out that she can get on top of the blinds and see the whole world.

Busy Weekend...

Wow! What a busy weekend!

Friday afternoon I almost didn't get a shower before the baseball game, I went to the Dr. in the morning about my headache's which resulted in being put on a medication to try out for a while. Jack had to be at the vet at 3:15 so William met me there. Ole Miss won, YEAH! It hadn't been 2 minutes since we walked in the door it started pooring down rain with bad wind and a small amount of hail(so I was told), the road that we just traveled from the game to come home was being hit by a tornado, man was I counting my blessings!

Saturday we attended a 3 year old fishing birthday party. That was alot of fun, it was a little cold to be may. After the party we were off to 3rd Ole Miss vs Arkansas baseball game. This game was for the SEC championship. We won, but however the way it fell we have to share the title with LSU, BOO!!!! Oh well, none the less it is a title.

Sunday we were off to church, another 3 year old birthday party at Chuck E Cheese, which I think the lady was in amazement when we came in and didn't have kids....haha, and then group at our house.

Monday I took my car to get a little touch up done to the bumper after someone hit my car in the school parking lot a few weeks ago, then William had the first offical softball game of the season. They lost both games, but somehow I got to be the offical scorebook keeper, ha. I will be better next week. So, today I had to stop taking the medicine they put me on Friday because it made my headache worse. It was suggested that I go get a massage, so I did, it was my no means relaxing.

Today, EA Active came out for the Wii and William got it for me, I thought I was tough and would start out on a heavy workout, WHAT A JOKE! I didn't even do half of it and now my thighs are killing me. Better luck tomorrow on EASY!:)

Here are some pictures from the game Friday night:
