Show Us Your Wedding Party & Flowers...

Wedding Party & Flowers Edition

Kelly is doing this and you can view her blog to see more.

I didn't really have a "wedding party". It was me, William and my Uncle Lee who married us. Our guests were, I can name all of them for you, My parents, William's parents, my dad's mom and my cousin, my mom's mom and step dad, my aunt and cousin, my youngest brother, my uncle(who married us) and his wife. That's it!

Our "First Kiss" as husband and wife.

My 2 cousins, Amanda and Kali, were my flower girls. I don't think I have a picture of me holding my flowers, but if you look close in the pictue of our "first kiss" you can see my grandmother holding the pink roses, my father-in-law put it together for me.

That was an ordeal in it's self. I had ordered my calilillies a month in advance and the day before our wedding when I went to pick the flowers up the lady told me that she wasn't able to get them, so I was very angry to say the least. Oh well, I went to Sam's and bought Pink Roses and they worked well because my mom pulled some of the outer pettles off and my cousins dropped them for me.

Our wedding was at my grandmothers house in the Den at 6:30 on a Saturday afternoon.
I walked in with a Jessica Simpson playing, it's sad I can't remember:(
My uncle prayed, we said our vows, lit the unity candles, exchanged rings and kissed. While we lit the unity candles I wanna love you forever by Jessica Simpson played.

I made this sometime after we were married to go in my scrapbook.

If you look at the picture above of the lady with the blonde hair and the pink/white dress suit on and the picture below of the lady in the red dress with brown hair. That is the same lady! That's my Grandmother, just with a 13-14 year difference.

I put these pictures in because they are FUN! My Uncles Lee married my mom and dad as well. So here is a picture of my Uncle Lee with us, and a picture of my mom with us, the picture on the bottom is my mom and Uncle Lee when he married my mom and dad, I think that was in 1980 or 1981.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you enjoyed!

The Great Passion Play...

Some of our friend's from back home came to visit for the weekend. They arrived Thursday evening and we toured a little of the Bentonville/Rogers area to show them around. Then on Friday we headed off to go antiquing and to Eureka Springs to see the Great Passion Play. I enjoyed it, it was good just not something I am dieing to go see again. Saturday we spent the day playing bowling, shopping at the Promenade and playing the Wii. Sunday they attended church with us, and then had to be on their way home to lead church service tonight. None the less, it was a FUN weekend.

Show Us Your Wedding Dress...

Wedding Dress Edition

Kelly is doing this and you can view her blog to see more.

I will tell a little about our wedding first and then show some pictures.
William and I got engaged Christmas day 2003. We got married August 7, 2004. For the 3 months prior to us being married, I lived in West Memphis, AR with my grandparents and William lived in Northwest Arkansas doing a Summer Internship for Wal-Mart. William came back home on August 6 just in enough time for us to get to the courthouse and get our marriage license before they closed for the weekend. We had only known that we were getting married for 6 weeks, he found out that he would be getting a job offer on his last day of his internship and wanted me to move here with him when he came back in January 2005. So, we talked about it and the only time that worked well with him finishing school and moving here was August. It turned out perfect! I had been 19 for 30 days when we got married. I bought "the dress" the day before we got married, just before William arrived home. I wasn't nervous about it, just had a hard time finding a white dress in August that wasn't at a bridal shop and that I had enough money for.

My dress came from Cato's or Holiday's, I can't remember. I know it was on clearance for $20. I already had bought a vail and garter from David's Bridal. I did have something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. My old and borrowed were my grandmother pearl necklace and earrings, my new was my dress, vail and shoes and my something blue was my garter.

My dad showed up 30 minutes before my wedding started, I didn't know he was going to be there. My grandmother got him the shirt that he has on from my grandfathers closet and he gave me away! I loved it! My mom and dad were divorced when I was young and I always dreamed that my dad would be there when I graduated high school, when I got married, when I graduate college and when I have a baby. So far he is 2 for 2!

This is my dress, hanging in my closet, I still have it and my vail.

This is the dress that I tried on, just after we decided on a date. I worked full-time at Wal-mart and had a car note, so I couldn't afford the $600 for this dress. Someday though! William and I are planning on doing a big wedding the right way for our 10 year reunion, we will see how that works out since we will have been married 5 years soon, it is creeping up really fast!

William's 10 year class reunion.

William's 10 year high school reunion was this weekend, we had a blast! Fun to meet people who he went to school with, we met just after he graduated high school.

Call me Suzy Homemaker....but I think I am tired of it now!

So I got in a bit of a crafty mood...and then I went a little over board! Here are the things that I have made in the last week, started out just because of pure bordem then I couldn't quit!

Made 2 matching hooded towels and washcloths for my niece.

Made these for my cousin Kali

Made me and my sister-n-law a pair of these.

Made these out of scrap ribbon that I had.

This was the big project, 72 burp cloths for babies, I like to make things for shower gifts but just don't have time when I am in school so I used my time wisely and pre-made them!:)

I made this for a friend, Tiphanie, per her request.

Then, Lauren gave me the idea for this while I was making the burp cloths....and I LOVE IT!

I think I am all worn out of craftiness for now!:)

Bunco Flip Flop fun!!!

Tonight was the monthly Bunco, it was at Leah Mitchell's house. She did something different, and it was fun! We were suppose to dress up a pair of flip flops and wear them for a competition. There were only 4 of the 12 of us that participated. I thought mine were the cutest, but ya know I'm not biased at all...haha. Amy's were very cute!

"The" flip flops!

The bling...

Each one of my flip flops said Bunco on it...

Show Us Where You Live Friday...Entry Way

Entry Way Edition

Kelly is doing this and you can view her blog to see more.

This is our front entry looking from the living room. On the left are our pets. On the right is our marriage license. Above the door is a L for our last name Lewallen, it came from Kirkland's. I updated to pictures of the pets but forgot to retake this picture, now you can see both :)

These are our sweet animals, they are our babies! We love them dearly. The dog is Jack, he is a 2 year old Snauzer-Poodle Mix. Rylee is a cat, I don't know what kind, she is 2 1/2. We got both of them from the Bella Vista Animal Shelter when they were 6 weeks old.

This is the entry table to the right when you walk in the front door. I got it for Christmas in 2006, from Kirkland's. The Lamps are froms Elite Lamp factory/Vintage Verandah in Marion/West Memphis, AR. I am always changing things around, these are 2 pretty recent pictures.

Katie made the plaque on the wall. Just a little FYI, I didn't buy those cord covers, I made my own for $2 plus the time to sew them. Much cheaper than $20 a cover at Hobby Lobby.

Close up of what the plaque says.

Looking to the right, black mirrors from Wal-Mart, and hallway to guest bedroom, guest bath and office.

Looking to the left, our wedding pictures.

With my back to the front door, this is what you see, if I turned a hair more to the right, you could see down the hall to the living room. Love this cross, it's from TJ Maxx.

From the cross if you turn to the left, towards the baby gate, you can see into the office. These pictures, above and below, are in this hall. The above are William and I as babies and the below are our families when we were little. I have 2 half brothers and William has an additional half brother.

If you are back at the cross, you walk straight down the hall and find this on your left before you get to the living room. It is from Gordman's.

From this mirror if you turn around with your back to it you would be facing a small hallway to our bedroom. These are pictures of us, the blue one is from Sept. 2006 and the red and black one if from 2002 or 2003, can't remember.
