Busy week recap...

Here is my little sweetie all ready to go to FNO so that mommy and daddy can have a date night.

I just love baby sandals!

We started on rice cereal and drinking from a cup this week. I think it is going really well! Well until she decides to spit it everywhere and laugh:)

Here is my little dumplings ready to go to KDO training.

Madelyn has learned to hold her cup all by herself, not for long but she can do it!

Today we spent lots of time outside

We met friends at the splash park, then played outside while the pool water warmed up and then played in the pool.

Best part about the week coming up is Papow will be here!

Walks

We have been going on lots of walks since it has cooled off to 90 from the 100s

4 month check-up

Maddie had a 4 month well baby check-up and shots.
She got 2 shots and 1 oral vaccine.
The Dr said she is a healthy girl!

Weight-14lbs 15.7oz(76.50%)
Height-24 inches(36.94%)-she's not so tall anymore.
Head-16.61 inches

The Dr said she is definitely teething

After such a big morning we are taking it easy playing and watching The Backyardigans

Mini me

Here is me and my sweet little mini me enjoying a quiet Sunday afternoon at home.

4 months

Madelyn Grace

You are 4 months old today.
I think you weigh about 14 pounds, you have your 4 month appointment next week and we will find out for sure then.
You are wearing size 2 diaper.
You are wearing 0-3 month clothes and some 3-6 month clothes even though they are still a bit big.
You have made your own schedule and it's working well for us. You wake up for the dat between 9-1130. Depending on what time you wake up you take 2-3 45 min naps and are in bed between 730-8. Lately you have only been waking up once at night between 3 and 6.
You like your car seat and will sleep in it as long as i cover you up and make it dark.
You have learned to roll over now so you are sleeping on your belly.
You still suck your thumb a lot.
Tummy Time happens a lot easier now since you can roll yourself over:)
You really like watching The Backyardigans. When it's on you just kick and laugh and talk to the tv, it is so sweet!
I really think you are teething, you drool a lot and suck on your lip but I don't feel anything yet on your gums.
You are still wearing size 0-1 shoes.
You have really started laughing a lot lately. It just warms my heart to hear you laugh.
In the past few days you have really been talkative during your bath!

We have had a busy week but Maddie didn't seem to mind. She slept well in her car seat and played with her elephant.

I love Maddie more than I thought I could love such a small being.

I think she is still is still teething but I don't feel anything yet. Lots of chewing on her hand and anything she can get in her mouth.

Not feeling well...

We weren't feeling well today. So we had lots of cuddle time.

Fun new things...

We have lots of new things going on and I don't want to miss them or forget so I blog them...

Little Miss Maddie not only likes to suck her thumb but she likes to get both of them in there and chew on them. It's sooooo cute!

A friend let us borrow a bath ring for Maddie. She loves bath time so I thought this would help her be able to splash in the water a little more but she's not quiet ready yet. She enjoyed it but she needs to be able to sit up a little more first.

Tuesday night Maddie was watching me cook and chewing on her thumbs so I gave her this chew toy to try. She seemed to like it!

Then yesterday I found Maddie like this during nap time

And today like this, 3 times...

So we can roll over now!

The fun part is she hates tummy time so I guess she will quit doing it or learn to like it!

First time in the pool!

On Monday we drove up to Missouri to visit some friends and they let us borrow their little pool.

Maddie wasn't crazy about It at first but quickly grew to like it

This was how we stayed cool while we were outside since the temps have been 100+ for several weeks...

No more swaddle!

After 3 months we have finally said bye bye to the swaddle!

I loved it so much in the beginning because it helped Maddie sleep so well, then she started getting to where she could almost roll herself over so we started weaning her from the swaddle. I started by leaving her right arm out for a week, then both arms for a week then no swaddle at all. She really seems to like it so much better, mostly because she can suck her thumb.

It's so sweet to hear her on the monitor sucking her thumb:)

Learning new things...

This week Maddie has learned several new things.
I haven't noticed that she is teething much this week but she does like to suck her thumb, a lot!

I learned how to hold on to my rattle and move it around.

I learned how to put my rattle in my mouth.

I learned how to pick up my rattles all by myself.

Saturday our town had a day of fundraising for the firefighters to buy some new equipment. One of the events for the day was a teeny tot contest, so we entered Maddie.
She didn't win, and thats ok. We still had fun!

Nanna visits...

My mom came to visit this weekend. LOTS of fun was had! I wish we didn't live so far away.

Here are my 2 projects that I worked on this weekend.

This Halloween wreath was given to me by a friend and I took it apart and changed it up a little bit.

I completely redid my fall wreath and now I love it!

My mom watched Maddie on Friday night so William and I could go out a celebrate our upcoming 7th wedding anniversary. We had lots of fun! We went to dinner at Abuelo's then off to play some Putt-Putt(which I must add I won!:)), then over to fast lane and last but not least Yum-Yos!

New thing!!!

My sweet little 14 week old Madelyn is changing right before my very eyes!

This week she has started teething, holding her toys in her hand(and hitting herself in the head:/), trying to roll over and doing mini push ups.

That's alot of new things for one week!
