37 weeks, 4 days

We went for a non-stress test this morning and after being on the monitor for almost an hour Maddie wasn't being very reactive as she normally is. Which means that when she moves her heartbeat goes up so much over a certain amount of time. Usually she passes with flying colors within a few minutes of the Dr. "buzzing" her. This time after being buzzed twice she still wasn't doing a whole lot. My Dr. said that since we know what she normally does that she didn't feel comfortable having to squint to look at the monitor strip to see if Maddie had passed or not so she was going to send us for an ultrasound. Which was fine by me! I would rather be safe, than sorry. Not one minute did I really worry. It is all in God's hands. The Dr. was pretty sure that everything would turn out ok but just to be certain. If everything wasn't ok then we would be having Maddie today.

So we went to be worked in for our ultrasound. Luckily we didn't have to wait too long. This was just a regular ultrasound but it is called a BioPhysical Profile because they look at many different areas on the baby. The baby gets a score from 0-10 overall. Each area is worth 2 points each. Breathing, Extremity movement(upper and lower), Whole body movement, amount of amniotic fluid and non-stress test. Maddie did wonderful! She scored a 8! The one thing she failed was the non-stress test. So all is well and we shall continue to let her bake in mommy's little oven for a few more days.

We go back on Thursday for another non-stress test.
Only 10 more days until my c-section!!!
