The Dr said the Baby Will does have an obstruction in his left kidney. The right kidney has a little bit of extra fluid in it but nothing of concern right now that will hopefully correct itself. We are to come back to Arkansas Children's when Baby Will is 3 months old to get a Renogram to tell us how the kidneys are functioning. Depending on how his kidneys are functioning will depend on the treatment that we continue forward with. If he has little function he would need surgery, if he has good function then the dr would continue to watch him. If the function is good in the left kidney the obstruction could correct itself as he grows.
Hearing the Dr say today that he expects Will to live a full life was music to my ears!
God is really showing up and showing is might hand! While I was pregnant the Dr told us that this large kidney could be a sign or multiple things one of which was Down syndrome, then at the next visit he wasn't sure that the kidney would even function because he saw she he thought were cysts which turned out they were not! Then there was the question if I needed to deliver the baby in Little Rock because he might needs immediate surgery. Then the possibility of a NICU stay because he was having to born so early to prevent his kidney from dieing. God has definitely shown up and taken care of our precious baby! He is a mighty God!!!
