Today Baby Will had his ureteral stent removed. He weighed 20 pounds and 26 1/2 inches long. He was a little champ! In and out in no time. He's sleeping on the ride home now.
We will see Dr. Canon, the Pediatric Urologist, in a month for a ultrasound to assess the kidney. The hope is that the Hydronephrosis will atleast stabilize and not continue to get larger post surgery. If the kidney is the same size or smaller, that's great and Dr Canon will continue to see will for 6 months with the expectation of the kidney returning to a normal size by that time. If the kidney is larger than before surgery then Will will have to have another surgery.
We are praying for no more surgery!
