4th of July with the Fam!

4th of July weekend we went home for a visit with the Fam. Usually we stay home for this Holiday but decided to change it up this year.

Friday night we met up with 2 of William's cousins, who are brothers, and there wives.
This is Phillip Lewallen Sr., William Lewallen Jr., and Ray Lewallen Jr....see the pattern? I think it is so neat to carry on family names!
We ate dinner at one of our favorite BBQ places in Memphis, Corky's. This is William and I at dinner. Stefanie(Ray's wife) brought boas and crowns for she and I to wear since our birthdays were about a week apart.
Stef and I before dinner, I love it! Such total Diva's!:)

Saturday we spent the day with William's dad and our niece and nephew.

It was nap time, but we still had to watch the Little Mermaid before she could fall asleep.
This is Chris Jr., another family name to be carried on:)

Saturday night we went to a fireworks show in Collierville with William's cousins and there families. I didn't get one picture:( It was a great show! There were to people who jumped out of planes and parachuted in with fireworks on there feet and an American flag on there back. Pretty awesome!

Sunday we just chilled at William's dads house until it was close to dark, then we headed to Southaven to meet my brother to watch a fireworks show. It was better than the one the night before!

Lilly and I, I can't believe how big she is!

A few days before we left a sweet friend of mine painted my toe nails with Zebra stripes! I loved it, to say the least! They were very festive for the 4th.

I love going to visit William's dad because he lives in the country. I lived in the country until I was about 8 years old. Loved it! Loved walking down the gravel road barefoot and not having a care in the world about a car coming. We lived next door to my cousins and my other cousins lived about 5 houses down and 2 of my great uncles lived across the street.

Maybe one day I will be back in the country and have a green thumb, I love veggies fresh from the garden. Here's a peek at the garden William's dad has. It's much smaller than usual, but he has cut back since the grandbabies have come along.

William's dad had a hummingbird feeder on his front porch, there were 4 hummingbirds that rotated feeding. I snapped quiet a few pictures and enjoyed watching them flap there wings so fast.

Hope you had a wonderful 4th of July celebrating our countries Independence. Such a special Holiday to me since my brother is deployed with the Army.
