We drove up to Kansas City yesterday and drove back today. It was the 1st time we had ever been. We had a lot of fun and will have to go back again soon!
We started off the day at Oklahoma Joes for some BBQ. I was not Memphis BBQ but it was still good!
We got to the restaurant/gas station early do we wouldn't have to wait in a long line once they opened. Maddie had a lot of fun playing while we waited.
After a delicious lunch we headed over to Crown Center Plaza to check it out. We had fun just looking at all the kid stuff that we don't have here in NWA.
We will definitely have to go back to visit Legoland when Maddie is older
Here is Maddie watching the fountains outside at Crown Center Plaza.
After we left there we went and checked into our hotel in the Country Club Plaza district. It was so Beautiful! We stayed at the Courtyard. The hotel was a old building that used to be apartments and in the halls were old milk doors.
We got changed into our swim suits and headed to Schlitterbahn to swim!
Before we got there Maddie was fast asleep in the van.
We had a lot of fun in the water. Maddie was doing some kiddie slides nearly by herself and laughing the whole time. It was priceless!
After playing in the water for several hours we headed to Legends shopping mall and ate dinner at T-Rex. Maddie really enjoyed checking out the fish tanks.
We went to bed very late and got up very early!
We had a yummy breakfast at Simply Breakfast. After that we headed to the City Market and picked up some fresh fruit. Maddie loves blueberries and they had big containers for cheap!
After that we headed back to NWA.
Maddie slept the whole way from Kansas City to Joplin.
We stopped in Joplin to eat at Cheddars. After that we stopped by Toys r us.
Maddie had a blast running and playing. We did buy her a little toy that she loves!
Maddie played with this pillow per for the longest and we had to distract her to get it away. Guess she likes Mickey!
I will post the pictures from the water park once I get the disposable camera developed.
